Peyton Leary, Executive Director
She is passionately committed to serving the JC Schools Foundation as the Executive Director. Peyton strives to make a direct impact on people in her personal and professional life. Since joining the JC Schools Foundation and contributing to the Jefferson City School District, she has continued to establish connections to secure opportunities for our teachers and students. She is creating a new era of excellence at the JC Schools Foundation.
One of her main goals is to build upon our supporters by adding new donors and members to our Foundation Family and creating positive advocates for our public school district. As the Executive Director, she is emphasizing awareness as we share the stories and experiences of our district members. She has enjoyed every minute of being a part of the Foundation.
Peyton graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. She began her non-profit career in St. Louis, Missouri, supporting an organization that assisted burn survivors. Her heart and passion for helping others started at a young age, as she watched her parents impact her hometown in Alton, IL.
During the height of the pandemic in 2020, Peyton moved to Jefferson City and began a life here. She married her husband, Drew Leary, and they love their pup, Waylon. She loves spending time with her family and friends and exploring all things Jefferson City.
Gloria Hansen, Administrative Assistant
Gloria graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, with a degree in elementary education. She and her husband David moved to Jefferson City in 1990, and after teaching for a number of years, she stayed home to raise their two children. She entered the workforce in 2015, working in the banking mortgage industry. Having served on the Foundation Board of Directors for several years, Gloria has found her home as the Foundation’s Administrative Assistant.
Outside of work, Gloria enjoys reading and golfing. She’s happiest when spending time with her husband and kids and their spouses.

My experience on the Foundation Board has allowed me to see the challenges current students are facing at all levels. I want to help raise funds to support grants for the classrooms and schools to hopefully eliminate those challenges. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with the Foundation's Princess and Papa dances, as well as Santa Day. These events bring joy and excitement to the students, family members, and community who attend and volunteer.
